Genting Highlands has never been developed as a eco-destination despite its rich nature heritage. Instead, a casino, theme park and resorts have taken prominence and wiped out most of the natural treasures on the peak. Still, there are several popular waterfalls hidden within mostly tranquil rainforests in the vicinity of Genting, especially at the foothills and mid-elevation. These waterfalls offer camping, swimming and jungle trekking activities for interested visitors. Some of them have been over developed into state parks, with floods of boisterous families on weekends. Come on weekdays or trek further to find secluded spots if you want to enjoy nature at its best.
