Genting Highland's main attractions for visitors are its Las Vegas-styled entertainment, including glitzy shopping malls, colourful theme parks and a cable car ride to complement its central tourist activity; gambling at the casino. An overwhelming number of visitors are here to stake their fortunes at baccarat and black jack, while their children have fun at innocent theme parks and spouses spend a day of shopping at the First World Plaza. Others come up here to escape the heat of Kuala Lumpur, being within an easy 45 minute journey by highway. The only worthy experience is the cable car ride, which offers a panoramic view of rainforests and lush valleys.
