Gohtong Jaya

Gohtong Jaya is a small satellite town located on a plateau several km before Genting Highlands. Several landmark attractions in the area include the Awana Resort, Lim Goh Tong Memorial Hall, Strawberry Farm and Genting Skyway Station (cable car ride). Much of the action is concentrated along the road of shops facing the roundabout, as visitors flock here in droves to eat at budget Chinese restaurants, mostly of steamboat or hawker stall variety. Cheap accommodation can also be found in budget shoplot hotels concentrated in a square about 2km before Gohtong Jaya, but the town center has Seri Malaysia Hotel and apartments for rent.
