Genting Highlands offers a mixed range of entertainment and leisure activities beyond its theme park and surrounding tourist attractions. In the resort itself, adjoining First World Plaza, visitors can check out Vision City Games Park. an indoor family attraction featuring mini rides, interactive games, arcade machines and racing simulators. The arcade section is a favourite haunt for children who flock to the fighting and racing games for some thrill and excitement. The famous photo sticker machines are also abundant; these are booths where you can squeeze in with friends to take photos printed on stickers framed with cuddly icons.

More family-friendly activities can be found directly in the First World Plaza shopping center, which houses a small theme park, cineplex, indoor sports venues and entertainment outlets. Some of the recreational activities include rock climbing on an artificial wall, playing with snow in Snow World, snooker, pool and bowling. Also, Genting Highlands organises concerts and performances almost montly, involving international artistes, but mostly those from Hong Kong, China and Taiwan - a deliberate slant towards the mostly Chinese patrons of Genting. The Arena of Stars, Genting International Convention Center and Pavilion Hall are large auditorium venues that host these functions.

From late evening onwards, the nightlife begins at several designated joints; take your pick from sports bars, karaoke lounges and dance clubs. Safari disco offers vibrant dancing and loud music catered for the young. Cloud 9 is a more urban establishment with R&B tunes and neon lights. Sports Book is a bar to watch sporting events live with beer in hand and rowdy cheers. Be A Star is a funky karaoke lounge for crooning the latest tunes from around the world. Finally, the Patio is a more mature outfit with live jazz music and corporate guests.

All visitors and guests need to be over 18 years of age to enter any of these establishments. Beyond the resort, Awana Resort at Gohtong Jaya offers team-building activities for corporate excursions and large groups, involving sports and physical challenges such as flying fox, obstacle courses, jungle trekking and squash. Awana also has a horse ranch and equestrian center near the resort, where visitors can engage in leisure rides around the paddock, or pick-up serious horse-riding courses.
